RVW Tour 2008

Following the success of his Rhythmic Renaissance album release tour in 2007 Dave will be embarking on three solo tours in 2008. The biggest of these is the RVW Tour, featuring the first performances of Ralph Vaughan Williams' Concerto Accademico for marimba & vibraphone with string orchestra.

Concerto Accademico was originally a violin concerto, arranged by Dave for marimba & vibraphone in early 2006, previewed at a recital at The Amadeus Centre, London in January 2006 before being performed in its entirety with piano accompaniment in June 2006, as part of Oystermouth Music Festival.

For the 2008 tour Dave will be performing the concerto with string orchestras throughout the UK, following the premiere performance that took place at the Royal Northern College of Music with the RNCM String Orchestra on Sunday 3rd February 2008.
