03/02/2008 - Day of Percussion - Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester Event organised by Royal Northern College of Music - rncm.ac.uk Photography by Simon Brittlebank - simon.brittlebank@rwcmd.ac.uk Dave presented an hour long session on the process of commissioning new works and arranging existing ones for percussion. During the session Dave performed Jacob Wheeler's Elam Woc along with the premiere performances of Nightlife by Gareth Wood (with Nicola Rose, piano) and Maximon by Andrew Keeling (with Joel Garthwaite, Soprano Saxophone). This was followed by the first performance of Dave's arrangement of Vaughan Williams' Concerto Accademico with the RNCM String Orchestra. Later on in the day Dave performed in another session alongside jazz vibraphone legend Anthony Kerr before sitting down to enjoy an outstanding evening concert from BackBeat.
